This year we are studying the Bible for history. Right now we are learning the background of the Bible. We have learned things such as the Jewish calendar, that the Bible is ONE book made up of 66 books, and that the Bible was written on scrolls that were hand written. So, our project was to make a scroll with the ABC's. This project was a two-week project (from before summer break), but we had the privilege of putting the finishing touches on it this week. It gives you a whole new appreciation (at least as an adult) for our Bibles, where we can just open it up to where we want and start reading. It was hard enough to keep this critter rolled, let alone get it to the "letter" you wanted to read. I'm looking forward to the things we learn this year. :)
