Last week we studied "cows" for school. At the end of the week we were supposed to have a dairy party, but I didn't have the best part of the party, so I waited until I had finished my grocery shopping. Today was the big day for the dairy party...I put a few different types of cheese on a plate and a cracker with butter (a childhood memory of my grandpa) and let both girls have at it...which reminds me, I forgot the yogurt. As they munched on those goodies (ok, the parts that they ate, which wasn't much) I got the grand finale together. The best part...a bowl of ice cream with cool whip on top! I am loving home schooling Libby and I am completely looking forward to the homeschool convention coming up in Ohio. this is going to be an interesting journey, but one that is totally worth it!

Ready for Bath Time?
This child is so relaxed. It is such a blessing! Libby did fine with baths, but Grace HATED baths, with a passion, for the first four months.
So, having John just kind of sit back and relax is quite a treat for me. He just "takes it like a man". :)
Even when his sisters decide to help. They have decided the medicine cups are the perfect "John-size" and douse him for me.

Wild Thing
Ok, so we already knew Grace had a penchant for fun, but daddy took it to a whole new level. :) Grace had a blast with this one. Even Libby got on in the fun...although daddy couldn't quite take her as fast as Grace since she's a tad bit bigger. We, of course, had some repercussions after the fun was over. Grace threw the biggest tantrum because she wanted more. :)
Books!
Ok, these are actually pictures that Libby took when she got hold of the camera. Anyway, for all of you book lovers out there (Alexis) I just thought I'd go ahead and post these just to show you. You aren't the only one obsessed. :)

Ballerina
Ok, you can't really see the tutu in ANY of these pictures...at least not the right way. Grace has been dressing herself for about 3 weeks now and sometimes she comes out with some pretty interesting ways to put her clothes on. I'm just impressed that she can do it, to be honest. I remember our PAT person asking at the 2 year Denver, for Libby, "Is she helping you put her clothes on?" and I said, "Oh, is she supposed to be?" And here is Grace. Crazy kid!
I just like this picture. This is her new pose at the supper table. We have been seeing a lot of it lately at supper time. :)
Here, she put the tutu on inside out. That HAS to be uncomfortable, but at least she has all of her body parts through the correct holes.
This time, she missed the holes completely. I am not sure how she managed this one. Her head and an arm are through the leg holes. She has a leg through the head hole, and another through an arm hole. Now she is desperately trying to find the other arm hole with her "lost" arm. It was quite a task trying to get this thing off of her...through a leg hole. :)

Oh Joy!
I have been trying for THREE months to get a good picture of these three gems together. It hasn't worked...until TODAY!!! Yea! I finally got a good picture of all three. This just warms my heart to post (and take) pictures like this. The prayer of my heart for my children is that God will knit their hearts together. I see so many families where the siblings hardly know each other, or worse yet, won't even speak to each other. It breaks my heart and I am saddened by it. I absolutely adore my sisters, no matter what. They may make me mad at times, but I couldn't give up my love for them. I pray that my children grow up feeling the same way about each other.
Thank you, Lord, for the beautiful children you have entrusted Chris and me with. I pray that they grow up to love you with all of their hearts, minds and souls. I pray that they love each other always and that you intertwine their hearts together so that when one is sad, they all are conscious of it and when when is happy they are all happy together. Amen.

Hair!
This little girl really wants hair. She looks so longingly (ok, she straight out begs) while we brush Libby's hair (and Libby HATES it). She has always had an obsession with hair. this picture was taken of her last January...when she had NO hair.
Hungry Girl!
We have never had too many problems with Grace eating. Tonight was no exception...she dove into her peanut butter sandwich.
