Kids say the darndest things. Today Libby was bothering Grace while she was TRYING to fall asleep so I told her to stop bothering her sister while she was trying to sleep and Libby replied, "Nooo, babies don't sleep, they cry."

Stir Crazy
This is what you get when there is a whole bunch of COLD weather. Today is decent compared to the past couple of days when we have been hitting -10 at Grace's 5am feeding. BUT...we've been trying to stay in with the girls with that cold weather. So, here is what we've been up to. (Notice: I am not in ANY of those pictures. Ha ha! Libby actually took the picture of daddy.)
More Libby Pics
Libby has REALLY enjoyed taking pictures with the camera this past week. Whenever I have the camera out, she wants her turn. I let her have at it. As long as I'm there with her, I don't care. She is getting a little better at it as she practices. I'm proud of her.

The Little Engine that Could
Well, yesterday a little before lunch Libby told me that she needed her diaper changed. I went to her bedroom and got her diaper out (the one with Pluto on it, which is her favorite) and she said she didn't want the doggy...just her undies. I asked if she was ready to try the big girl potty again and she told me she was. It has been a little over 24 hours and we are completely and totally accident free. We did make her wear a diaper to bed, but not nap. So, I guess the potty training is on again...and so far so good. Hallelujah!

0- 3 Months
It's no lie. I have small babies. Believe me, I'm not complaining about that. In fact, the day before Grace was born another girl from our church had a baby. Yeah, he was 11 pounds and some odd ounces. I wish we would have taken Grace down to their room and taken a picture of the two babies side by side. It would have been hilarious! Maybe we should get a 1-month picture of them together at church on Sunday. :) Anyway, I diverge from the topic. On to the story. Libby decided that she wanted Grace to wear her doggy outfit today and although I knew it was going to be too big, I let her bring it on over. Yeah, these are pictures of Grace (3 days shy of a month old) in a 0-3 month outfit. Yeah, we're getting good use out of our newborn clothes. I can't even keep her feet inside this outfit. Every time I put it back in she pops it right back out. My tiny little girls.

How do you spell relief?
M-I-C-H-E-L-L-E! A BIG THANKS for watching Libby today and giving me some "Grace and me" time. After dropping Libby off at Lucas and Carter's (Michelle's boys) Grace and I went to Wal-Mart to buy mommy a non-maternity outfit (since all of her clothes are in storage). Then we went to some preliminary floor shopping. I was hoping to choose colors, but that didn't happen. Oh well. THEN...on to the good stuff. We came home and busted tail on getting our lovely little house CLEAN!
Ok...so mommy busted tail on getting the house clean. Grace...well, she slept and woke up to eat a couple of times. You'll have that. Anyway, here are some pictures of the CLEAN living room.
And the CLEAN dining room.
And the CLEAN kitchen.
And Libby's CLEAN room.
And, last but not least, the CLEAN bathroom.
Thank you SO much Michelle as I can most likely be a better mommy to both Grace and Libby now that I can concentrate on them and not what I should be doing. I appreciate it GREATLY!

My Big Girl!
I promised Libby that if she went to the potty in the big girl potty I would take a picture for her. She did it! What a big girl. I've been asking her about every 15 to 20 minutes if she has to go potty and she's been saying no. I've been making her try anyway...nothing. Then, I was on the phone with my mom and she was on the bed playing with Grace and all of the sudden she jumped down and ran over to the potty all by herself. I asked her if she had to go potty, she said yes and did it. Needless to say, I let grandma help me make a big deal of it and then let her go so I could take care of the rest of it. Yea for Libby!
*Update: Yeah, I'm giving up for the moment. Libby decided that she wanted to be like OSU football team...come out with a bang and fizzle out. That was the ONLY time she went potty like a big girl the last two days. I think we are out of Libby undies now. I guess we will wash clothes and try again later.
Glad I Was the First Child
Yeah! The thrills of being the second child. You get to be your big sister's toy. I'm sorry Steph...I really do love you! I'm sure that Libby will apologize to Grace some day too for this "taking care" of her. :)
Little Miss!
Here's Miss Gracie Mae. She's a little over 3 1/2 weeks here. I think this is actually the first picture that I have posted where her eyes are actually OPEN! She's been awake a little more lately...still usually at night of course, but you'll have that. She has a little bit of a cough (usually at night) and seems to be congested, but other than that is seemingly very healthy. Libby is still a great big sister. She will get upset with me for spending "too much" time with Grace, but never takes it out on Grace. As for daddy, he could use a little more of that sleep he is missing out on and mommy's main problem is that she is having issues with the fact that she is NOT Super Woman. I want to do everything and do it now...and well, that's not possible when you are adjusting to a new little one and her sister is adjusting to you adjusting to a new little one. :) I guess patience is truly a virtue.
Future Photographer
Libby decided she wanted to try to take some pictures. I threw out half of them, but I thought these pictures weren't half bad. She might be better than me with a little more exploring!
Fire! Fire!
Ok, so I'm a little late in posting this, but what can you say when you are trying to adjust to life with four. Anyway, this happened just last weekend, so I'm not way late.
Last Saturday Chris traded in our GTP for a new (to us) van so we would have two sliding doors and I wouldn't have to try to chuck Grace over the driver's seat to get her in the van we already own. So, Saturday night Chris switched everything around so that the "gray" van was ready for me to drive and the "white" van was ready for Chris to drive. Then, on Sunday, Chris took the "white" van to Wal-mart. When he came out of Wal-mart, the van wouldn't start. He tried and tried and all it would do was backfire so he called me to bring the girls and, more importantly, the jumper cables. I packed the girls up and we went and hooked the vans up nose to nose. He kept trying and it still wasn't working. So, he decided to pour some ether in to speed the process up. He sped the process up all right. The van backfired and caught the air filter on fire. Chris decided that instead of watching the van burn to the ground he would take his chances and take the burning air filter out. So, he grabbed the flaming thing and threw it across the parking lot. Luckily, the only thing burnt was the air filter and Chris's eye brows and eye lashes. It caught a little of the front of his hair too, but that was it. Needless to say, we had a nice repair bill for the van after that episode. :)

Wake Up, Little Suzie
First of all, sorry it's been sporadic between posts. It's a little different with two little ones at home. :) To Chris's dismay (and mine...a little), I haven't done much house work either. Anyway, I have more posts coming soon. We've had a little bit of excitement this past week, but I want to put pictures up too.
Back to my title: Last night Grace fell asleep before we went to bed so I started making her "dance" and singing "Wake up, Little Suzie" to her (it didn't work). Libby gave me the nastiest look and said loudly, "Her name is NOT Suzie!" I asked Libby what her name was and she replied, "Gracie." So, I had to change my song...which still didn't work.

The Good Stuff
Pay Attention to Me!
Well, then. I think I now have two children and the eldest one is missing "her" mommy's FULL attention. I'm not even sure where she got the scisors from...somewhere on the back porch. But, yes, we have hit another milestone. Libby's first haircut...all by herself. It actually doesn't look bad and better yet...it'll grow back.

Sisterly Love
Libby has been such a good big sister these past two weeks. She has helped continuously and just been an all around delight. We shall see if it continues next week when it's just mommy, Libby and Grace at home. Hmmm...I might be in for a few surprises about what she REALLY thinks about her sister. Oh well, I guess it's all part of life with more than one kid. :) Libby's thing right now is that every time Grace makes a funny sound she stops what she's doing and looks at Grace with a look of amazement and says, "My goodness, you scared me baby!" Her face and the way she says it just makes it priceless. I love both of my little girls.
Christmas with the Grandparents
Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. The last of our visitors just left on Wednesday and now we are in adjustment mode. :) Here are some pictures of the Christmas we shared with my parents, as well as pictures of the Christmas we shared with Chris's parents. Libby enjoyed both and is still walking around the house finding things to wrap in Pinky for mommy and daddy to open. What a sweetie!
